Xi’an at night is a site to behold. The Muslim Quarter in Xian, near the bell and drum towers, turns into a festival at night. It fills up with musicians, performers, and all kinds of stands with delicious street food.
We stayed in a hotel near the center of the city for the first few days in Xi’an. The Muslim Quarter was a quick walk from our hotel. In the morning, I would walk outside of the hotel and grab a 牛肉餅, or a beef pancake for breakfast before we toured around the city all day. At night, we stopped by the Muslim Quarter to soak up the lights, sounds, and delicious smells.
