Spring in San Francisco

April 18, 2019

I’ve been very fortunate in life. I’ve worked really hard, taken some risks (like buying a one way ticket to San Francisco), and have had a lot of luck along the way. My goal in life as a young girl was to be successful and I thought the pinnacle of success was to become a CEO. My younger self was definitely on to something. While I no longer wish to be a CEO (most days) I do know what success is to me and what my childhood self was trying to get at. Success to me is being able to take care of my family and to live a life I love, without stress or financial burden. While I still have many goals I want to achieve in life, I can say with confidence that I see myself as successful.

The point of this intro is that when I’m able to spend a Friday afternoon enjoying the flowers in my favorite city in the world with my husband and daughter, I know I’ve fulfilled my childhood dream.

Spring came with a bang this year. When Noey was born, it rained and rained and rained. And now the city is in full bloom. Everyday I feel so grateful to be able to spend these early months fully devoted to her. On this particular day, Ke and I took advantage of the empty streets and clear weather to walk around and snap photos in our neighborhood. We’re currently prepping for our month long trip to China in a week, where we’ll visit family in Beijing, Xi’an, Chongqing, and then make a stop in Chengdu. Traveling is my passion (if this blog wasn’t evident enough) and I’m so excited to be able to travel with Noey. I hope to build up her own memories and love for traveling one day – or not if she hates it lol. But I’m looking forward to this time we have together and to future trips ahead.
